BODY
Note: Cardigan is worked in one piece from neck edge down. Ch 3 at beg of rows counts as a dc throughout. Beg at neck edge, with A, ch 33 (37).
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. 32 (36) sc. Turn.

Divide for Body: 1st row: (RS). With A, ch 3. 1 dc in each of next 20 (22) dc (Left Front). Ch 2 (4). Miss next 30 dc (Left
Sleeve opening). 1 dc in each of next 42 (46) dc (Back). Ch 2 (4). Miss next 30 dc (Right Sleeve opening). 1 dc in each of last 21 (23) dc (Right Front).
2nd row: Ch 3. 1 dc in each dc and ch to end of row. 88 (100) sts. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 3. 1 dc in each dc to end of row. Turn. Rep last row until work from divide measures 4 (4½)” [10 (11.5) cm], ending with a RS row.
Next row: With B, ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. *Ch 1. Miss next dc. Cluster in next dc. Rep from * to last 2 dc. 1 dc in each of last 2 dc. Turn.
Next row: With A, ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. *Ch 1. Miss next cluster. Cluster in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 dc. 1 dc in each of last 2 dc. Turn.
Next row: With B, ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. *Ch 1. Miss next cluster. Cluster in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 dc. 1 dc in each of last 2 dc. Turn.
Next row: With A, ch 1. 1 sc in each st andch-1 sp to end of row. Turn.  Rep last row twice more. Fasten off.
Left Sleeve: Join A with sl st to 1st st of Left Sleeve opening.
**1st rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in each st and rem loops of ch 2 (4). Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 32 (34) dc.
2nd rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in each dc around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. Rep last rnd until Sleeve measures 2 (3)” [5 (7.5) cm].
Next rnd: With B, ch 3. Yoh and draw up a loop in same sp as last sl st. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice. Yoh
and draw through all loops on hook – beg cluster made. Ch 1. Miss next dc. *Cluster in next dc. Ch 1. Miss next dc. Rep from * around. Join A with sl st to top of beg cluster.
Next rnd: With A, sl st in first ch-1 sp. Beg cluster in same sp as last sl st. Ch 1. *Cluster in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Rep from * around. Join B with sl st to top of beg cluster.
Next rnd: With B, as last rnd, joining A at end of rnd.
Next rnd: With A, ch 1. 1 sc in each st and ch-1 sp around. Join with sl st to first sc. Rep last rnd twice more. Fasten off.**
Right Sleeve: Join A with sl st to 1st st of Right Sleeve opening. Work from ** to ** as given for Left Sleeve.
Buttonhole band: With RS facing, join A with sl st to neck edge of Left Front for Boy or Right Front for Girl.
1st row: Ch 1. Work 38 (40) sc evenly down front edge. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 24 (26) sc. (Ch 1. Miss next sc. 1 sc in each of next 5 sc) twice. Ch 1. Miss next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc and ch-1 sp to end of row. Fasten off.
Button band: With RS facing, join A with sl st to neck edge of Right Front for Boy or Left Front for Girl. Work as for Buttonhole Band, omitting all references to buttonholes.
